Privacy Policy
This policy explains what GotClawBot (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the service at gotclawbot.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest.
Who runs GotClawBot
GotClawBot is operated by an independent developer reachable at support@gotclawbot.com. Billing is handled by DodoPayments as the Merchant of Record — for billing-related questions and refunds, see our Refund Policy.
What we collect
To run the service we collect and store the following:
- Account. Your email address and a one-way hash of your password (bcrypt). We never store your plaintext password.
- Telegram bot token. The bot token you paste into your dashboard. It is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and only decrypted when we configure your runtime. We do not share or display it.
- Usage events. Per-request token counts, model used, latency, and computed cost in micro-USD. We do not store the content of your conversations — those run inside your private container and are not pulled into our database.
- Pairing metadata. The Telegram user ID we approved during pairing, so your bot knows whom to talk to.
- Subscription state. Status (active / past due / canceled), period end, and the DodoPayments customer/subscription IDs — not your card details, which never touch our servers.
- Operational logs. Anonymized request/error logs for debugging and abuse detection. Retained ~30 days.
What we do with it
- Provide the service: spin up your private OpenClaw runtime, route Telegram messages to your AI, deliver replies.
- Bill you accurately: per-month subscription, with internal cost caps to prevent runaway charges.
- Detect abuse: usage spikes are flagged automatically so we can investigate before large costs hit.
- Email you when necessary: 2FA codes for admin login, transactional notices.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not use your conversations to train models.
Who we share data with
To deliver the service, we share the minimum necessary with these processors:
- DeepSeek — receives your prompts to generate replies. Prompts pass through our gateway for cost accounting only; we do not log content.
- Telegram — the messaging layer. Your bot connects to Telegram's Bot API using the token you provided.
- DodoPayments — processes your subscription. They hold your payment-method details, not us.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (admin 2FA codes, account notices).
- Contabo — the data center hosting our servers (Germany, EU).
We do not share your data with anyone else without your explicit consent or a valid legal request.
Where your data lives
Our servers are in the European Union (Germany). Some of our processors operate outside the EU (DeepSeek in China, Telegram global, DodoPayments US, Resend US). When you sign up, you accept that your data may be processed in those jurisdictions.
Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie (gcb_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or advertising tags.
Your rights
You can:
- Access your data — email us and we'll provide a copy of what we have.
- Delete your account — email us with the request from the address you signed up with. We delete account data within 30 days of cancellation, except records required for billing/tax compliance.
- Cancel your subscription anytime via your dashboard or by emailing support.
Retention
While your subscription is active, we keep account data and usage events. After cancellation we delete account data, bot token, and pairing metadata within 30 days. Usage-event records used for billing reconciliation are retained per applicable tax law (typically up to 7 years), but anonymized of any conversation references.
Children
GotClawBot is not directed at users under 16. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
